How often do we forget to take a moment to appreciate ourselves and our being? I am sure that the answer for many of us would be simply "I never have the time". My next question to you would be how does this affect how you repond to various life situations and how you feel about yourself.
In a world that is so fast paced and could I say superficial we tend to look at the surface when we explore relationships we have with others and ourself. We do not take the time to stop and reflect on how wonderful we are or look at our accomplishments for the day. Successfully trying out a new recipe can be celebrated because you did it! We compare ourselves to our neighbour or focus on only the negative, we fashion our minds to believe that we are not good enough or do not have enough to be happy with what we have or where we are in life. Take a minute to look in the mirror and say, "I did good today!" every day and remember that where you are in your life's journey is where you are supposed to be. You have been given the gift of life to be loved, lived and appreciated. Regardless if it is keeping your cool in work or successfully putting your children to bed before 9pm celebrate it and appreciate that you achieved something that day.
