Very often children are brought to me for counselling due to disruptive behaviours in the classroom. Although there are many contributing factors to how a child functions in school and the classroom, parents must be aware of how their interactions affect their children. Continuous parental conflict and animosity can have a negative impact on how your child functions in everyday life, as he lacks the security, structure and consistency that he needs. Instead he is exposed to poor communication, hostility and the child may feel guilty and torn between which side to take.
